    The Challenge

TechFlow had product-market fit, a healthy NRR, and strong G2 reviews — but they were getting boxed out of the AI-recommended consideration set. When buyers asked ChatGPT or Claude "what's a good Salesforce alternative for mid-market sales teams?", the same three competitors appeared in every answer. TechFlow was rarely mentioned, even though their feature set was demonstrably stronger.

Their content team had been publishing a steady stream of blog posts for two years, but the content was optimized for Google rankings — not for AI extraction. Long, narrative-driven posts ranked well organically but got ignored by LLMs that prefer structured, definition-style content.

With 67% of B2B buyers now using AI assistants in vendor research, every quarter spent invisible to AI was costing them tens of meetings — and competitors were starting to advertise their AI-recommended status as a moat.

    Our Approach

We ran a focused 90-day GEO sprint against the 23 highest-intent buyer queries in the mid-market sales CRM category, with weekly iteration based on real-time citation data.

    Days 1–10

Buyer Query Mapping & Citation Baseline

Worked with TechFlow's RevOps team to identify the 23 LLM queries most correlated with closed-won deals. Established a baseline citation rate across all four LLMs and benchmarked against the top six competitors in the category.

    Days 11–30

    Content Restructure for AI Extraction

Restructured 41 existing blog posts and product pages around extractable definitions, comparison tables, and FAQ blocks. Built 14 new "alternative to" and "best CRM for [persona]" pages designed to be cited rather than ranked.

    Days 31–60

    Authority & Off-Site Citation Engineering

Earned mentions in 19 high-authority B2B publications and review aggregators. Coordinated with the customer success team to source structured testimonials with quantified outcomes that AI platforms quote directly. Optimized G2 and Capterra category presence.

    Days 61–90

    Iterate, Expand & Hand Off

Weekly citation tracking and content adjustments. Identified five new queries to expand into. Trained the in-house content team on AI-first writing patterns and handed over the monitoring dashboard for ongoing operation.

    The Results

TechFlow's aggregate AI citation rate jumped 312% in 90 days. They became one of the three brands consistently named when buyers asked AI assistants for Salesforce alternatives — alongside the two largest competitors in the category.

Marketing-attributed pipeline from the AI-search channel reached $2.1M in the first 90 days, with a trial-to-paid conversion rate 29% higher than their PPC channel. The CFO has since approved a doubled investment in the GEO program for the next fiscal year.

"We thought we were doing modern content marketing. We weren't — we were doing 2019 SEO. The Rank Collective showed us what 2026 actually looks like, and the pipeline numbers don't lie."
